Kenton Brice

Kenton Brice is the Director of the Law Library and Associate Professor of Law at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he specializes in teaching courses on artificial intelligence, technology competency, and legal research. With a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma and an M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Texas, Kenton combines legal expertise with a strong foundation in information science to help future lawyers navigate the rapidly evolving digital landscape. His classes emphasize the importance of integrating technology into legal practice, equipping students with practical skills in AI, data analytics, and digital tools that are becoming essential in modern law firms.

At OU Law, Kenton also administers the Digital Initiative, a program designed to enhance legal education through innovative technology. He is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries and frequently speaks at conferences on the intersections of law, technology, and legal education. Through his work, Kenton is committed to bridging the gap between traditional legal training and the demands of the modern legal industry, preparing students to excel in a tech-driven profession.

Before joining OU Law, Kenton practiced as an associate attorney with Christman Kelley & Clarke, PC, where he worked on a range of litigation and transactional matters. During his time there, he gained recognition for his legal acumen, including being named Texas Appellate Lawyer of the Week by Texas Lawyer magazine for successfully appealing a case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In addition to his legal work, Kenton managed the firm’s technology infrastructure, using his technical skills to improve operational efficiency and enhance client service.
