Tom is a nationally known consultant, speaker and writer in the area of computerized litigation support systems. A frequent lecturer on the subject of legal technology, Tom has been on the faculty of numerous national CLE providers, the advisory board of the American Lawyer Media national LegalTech conferences, the governing council of the Law Practice Management Section of the ABA and the Planning Board of the ABA TechShow. He is a charter member of the EDRM as well as a life member of the American Bar Foundation.
Tom is also a prolific writer, with articles in numerous legal publications and several blogs.As a member of the Advisory Board of Law Technology News, Tom was a co-author of the 2006 award winning article, “In Katrina’s Wake”, which covered recovery efforts in the legal community of post Katrina New Orleans. He was also the author of The Lawyers Guide to Summation and EDiscovery for Small Cases, both published by the ABA.
Tom has also been awarded numerous professional accolades including the inaugural Betsy Ann Reynolds Award for Excellence In Litigation Support from the Litigation Support Leaders Conference and the inaugural Scarpitti Award for Professional Achievement from the Masters Conference.
He, his wife Gayle and their son Seamus, one of the New Orleans Kings of the City skateboard krewe, hope someday to have their own float in a Mardi Gras parade, down the Mississippi down in New Orleans, where they all reside.
