Charity Anastasio is a Practice and Ethics Counsel for the American Immigration Lawyers Association headquartered in Washington D.C. She goes to her dream job every day, where she advises members on ethics and practice management issues through one-on-one consultations, publications, presentations, and workshops, giving immigration practitioners the tools to revolutionize their legal services and future proof their law firms. With a pinch of humor and a dash of reality, Charity makes technology concepts accessible to lawyers and spurs them into action, to make their practice and life a little shinier each day.

She received her JD from Seattle University School of Law in 2007 and opened a solo practice in 2008 focusing on estate planning, probate and family law. In 2013 she joined the Washington State Bar Association, later becoming the Director of Profession and Practice Advancement at the Maryland State Bar Association, then joining AILA in 2017. Charity is the chair of the ABA Law Practice Division’s Professional Development Board, is a speaker at the ABA TECHSHOW 2019 and 2020, and an ABA 2020 Women of Legal Tech Honoree.
