Frank Ramos has dedicated his life to advocating for others. A nationally recognized legal advisor and litigator, Frank has been defending clients in civil litigation for more than 26 years, focusing his practice on retail, product liability, premises liability, trucking, insurance, and commercial disputes. A seasoned litigator, he has taken numerous trials and arbitrations to verdict or award.
Frank uses his extensive litigation experience to provide counsel, defense, and strategic guidance to retailers, developers, restaurants, fitness chains, hotels, resorts and other hospitality businesses. His representation has included negligent security, slip/trip and falls, catastrophic personal injury, trucking and motor vehicle accidents, employment and construction claims, as well as a variety of commercial disputes ranging from intellectual property and breach of contract to bad faith, franchise agreements, and landlord-tenant issues.
In his product liability practice, Frank has advocated for clients in cases alleging toxic exposure and personal injury for manufacturers and distributors in the pharmaceutical, medical, construction, asbestos and silica, machinery, household product, safety equipment, recreational vehicle, trucking and automotive industries. Highly regarded by his peers in the legal community, Frank was named Miami’s Product Liability Lawyer of the Year for both 2020 and 2023 by The Best Lawyers in America.
In addition to his active law practice, Frank is a prominent thought leader and industry advocate, having written more than 500 articles and given over 400 presentations to lawyers and claims professionals on a variety of topics including claims handling, pretrial and trial skills, leadership, litigation management, mentoring, diversity, communication skills, management, and the future of the practice, to name a few. He has authored 20 books on best practices and innovations in the practice of law published by such esteemed organizations as the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the American Bar Association (ABA).
Frank’s advocacy extends to the success of law firms and the professional development of individual lawyers. His books From Law School to Litigator and The Associates’ Handbook serve the next generation of lawyers, while titles like Deposition Drills and Getting Published for Lawyers allow experienced attorneys to polish their skills. Even other law firms get the benefit of Frank’s wisdom, with Strategic Planning for Law Firms and Attorney Marketing 101. Known as the “Miami Mentor,” Frank provides both training and mentorship through articles, podcasts, how-to videos, and one-on-one conversations. He has met with hundreds of young lawyers over coffee to lend an ear and offer advice on life and the practice of law.
A thought leader on cutting edge client challenges and solutions, Frank regularly presents and writes on helping clients adopt Artificial Intelligence in a safe, effective, and legal manner, assisting them in navigating the rules and regulations pertaining to AI and, when necessary, litigating AI-related matters. He also counsels insurance industry clients on best practices for harvesting their own robust data to improve efficiencies and outcomes.
