When technology initiatives and project goals are not properly defined and poorly communicated within an organization, frustration and fear can develop from those needing to embrace change. The project can be met with resistance, misalignment, and competing interest, which can slow or stall technology implementation all together. To address these issues, effective change management can ensure a project runs smoothly and successfully by applying a structured process and a set of tools for leading the people side of change to achieve the desired outcome. During this session, we will explore change management theories and learn how to apply these concepts to our own organizations to become better leaders of change, particularly when it comes to technology adoption in a profession that is often scared of change.
