Dan Lear is a lawyer and legal technology advocate, currently working as VP of Partnerships at InfoTrack. Previously, Dan started a fintech business in legal and also served as Director of Industry Relations at Avvo. Prior to Avvo, Dan worked as a technology lawyer with companies both large and small. Dan got his start in the legal sector in the legal department at Microsoft, working first in the patent group and then supporting Microsoft Game Studios where he got his name into the credits of a few video games (the accomplishment that most impresses his teenage boys).

Dan was listed in the Fastcase 50 in 2015 and received the Washington State Bar Association President’s Award in 2014 for his work on legal innovation and technology projects in the Seattle area and in greater Washington State.

Dan received his JD/MBA from Seattle University and a BA from Brigham Young University. He is licensed to practice law in both Washington and Arizona.
