Gretchen C. Bellamy, an experienced lawyer and business leader, founded Bellamy Management Consulting LLC where she works with company leaders who need support in deepening their understanding of how to minimize the risks and maximize the benefits that diversity, equity, and inclusion pose to their organization. She’s won numerous awards for her innovative, replicable, and sustainable approach to diversity, equity, and , including the “Architect of Meritocracy Award” by the Apollo Project/Financial Times of London, the “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Visionary Award” by Walmart and the 2015 “Outstanding International Corporate Counsel” by the ABA Section of International Law.
Ms. Bellamy also serves as the Senior Director for Education, Operations and Initiatives in the University Office for Diversity & Inclusion at UNC-Chapel Hill where she is leading the strategic efforts related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Prior to founding her consulting firm, she served as a Senior Strategist for Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Office of Global Culture, Diversity and Inclusion at Walmart, Inc. and before that as an Assistant General Counsel for global diversity, equity and inclusion. Ms. Bellamy serves as the Special Advisor to ABA’s Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity and the Model Diversity Survey Task Force. In addition, she serves as an advisory board member for the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession, among others.
