J.P. Mohler

J.P. is a Senior Machine Learning and Applied Research Scientist on the Innovation team at Casetext, Part of Thomson Reuters. In his current role, he works with judges, leading law firms, government agencies, and the silicon valley companies developing closed source Al models, to build cutting edge prototypes for emerging Al use cases in the legal field. His projects include the first known application of large scale artificial intelligence in a federal investigation and the first known Al tool adopted by a judicial system to expedite appellate review for time sensitive matters.

Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, J.P. was an attorney in the venture capital corporate group of Cooley LLP in Palo Alto, California and Washington, D.C. He received his JD from Harvard Law School where he served as President of the Harvard Law and Technology Society, Editor on the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology and Google Policy Fellow. He holds a BA, summa cum laude, from the College of William and Mary.
