TECHSHOW 2025 BOARD
Marc W. Matheny is an attorney in practice for over 40 years in general civil litigation and probate law in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is a past chair of the Indiana State Bar Association GP/Small Firm Section, a co-founder, and past Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Solo & Small Firm Conference (2013 -2014). He has served the ABA on the Planning Board for the ABA’s Solo Small Firm Conference, (2009-2012), and was a member of the ABA TECHSHOW Planning Board (2011-2014, 2024-2025). Presently, Marc Matheny sits as a member of ABA LP Professionalism and Ethics Committee, Vice Chair (2019-present) and the ABA Professional Development Committee (2020-present).
In January 2019, Marc was elected to the ABA’s LP Division’s Council, still serving as council member.
Marc is a member of the American Bar Association (Fellow), Indiana State Bar Association (Sustaining Member), Indianapolis Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Foundation (Distinguished Fellow) and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Marc is a Registered Civil and Family Law Mediator and is a member of the Indiana Mediators Association.
Marc is a volunteer monitor for the Indiana Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (JLAP) (2016 – present). He also served as a Guardian Ad Litem for several courts and for Kids Voice of Indiana.
In 2015 Marc was inducted into the I.S.B.A. GP Hall of Fame.
Marc is a frequent public speaker in the area of Ethics, Technology and Law Practice Management, having presented in the States of Indiana, Missouri, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Washington, and Illinois, as well as various continuing education conferences for the ABA and several state bar associations. Marc has been published in the ABA’s Law Practice Magazine, Essential Technology for the Small Firm, (2012), and the Indiana State Bar Association’s Res Gestae.
Mr. Matheny received his J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, (1980) and received his B.A. from Indiana University (1977).
