Steven J. Best (Steve) is an attorney and a founding partner of the Affinity Consulting Group. Steve attended the both the University of Florida and Rutgers University. He graduated from Emory University School of Law (J.D.). He actively practiced law for 11 years and is a member of the Florida and Georgia Bars. Since changing careers in 2000, Steve is also a certified consultant/trainer, maintaining certifications in many law office software products including time/billing/accounting, practice management, document management, PDF production, document assembly and paperless office packages. In addition to training, Steve also consults with firms on practice analyses, software selection, strategic transition project management and other legal technology issues. He is a national speaker at many CLE programs throughout the U.S. and Canada. In 2016, Steve was honored to be the chair of ABA TechShow. He is an active member of the ABA’s Law Practice Management Division. An accomplished pianist, in his free time, Steve enjoys composing music, traveling, fitness, and creative cooking. Steve has been happily married to his wife, Melissa, for 29 years. They have 2 adult children and 3 spoiled cats.
